WHAT WE DO
At Design in Metal we specialise in solving problems in hot forged metal. By harnessing heat, force and forging techniques we create beautiful and functional pieces. From design all the way through to installation we work on projects ranging from small desktop objects to large scale architectural ironworks.

HOW WE DO IT
At Design in Metal we believe that all decisions made within any given design must be informed and considered: when working with a material like steel the only way to make those informed decisions is to learn to live with how that material lives and breathes.
Everything we make starts its life as a drawing, whether it’s a full 3D CAD rendering or a chalk sketch on the workshop table.
For larger projects we produce samples to prove concept and finalise the design before going to work in the forge.
